Death

To everyone who has faced the death of a loved one or fears losing someone you love:

When Corrie Ten Boom was a little girl she cried to her father about how she did not want him to ever die.  Her father replied, "Corrie..when you and I go to Amsterdam--when do I give you your ticket?"

Corrie Ten Boom thought about it and then answered, "Just before we get on the train."

Her father wisely explained, "Exactly.  And our wise Father in heaven knows when we are going to need things, too.  Don't run out ahead of him, Corrie.  When the time comes that some of us will have to die, you will look into your heart and find the strength you need--just in time"  (The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom).

There is hope:

On this mountain He will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.  Isaiah 25:7-8
