Karen Naber

Karen Naber obtained a B/A in journalism and was a newspaper reporter in California in the early 90s. She also freelanced for numerous national/international magazines/newspapers. However, her writing career careened off course after several speed bumps, detours and a few flat tires. Now she's back on track, with her mettle to the pedal, blazing full speed ahead.

She feels God calling her to pursue a writing career and women's ministry. As a result, she is writing/illustrating her first book. It will be for women who are broken, crack(ed) pots like herself! LOL

She feels it's a tremendous blessing to be able to contribute to this blog. By sharing her ‘transparent heart’, Karen hopes her posts will encourage, uplift and inspire other women into a deeper relationship with God, no matter what road they're traveling. Not a God that is distant, cold and judgmental hiding above the clouds somewhere, but a God that is as near as the air they breathe, who longs to lavish His love upon them and pour out His grace like a never-ending waterfall.

In addition to writing, Karen is an award-winning artist and songwriter. (She is about to release an album of 12 songs divinely inspired called, "Deeper" in which she sings and plays guitar.) When she’s not juggling all these roles—effortlessly of course—she enjoys spending time with her husband of 7 years and kindergartner son. My Heart's Home
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
