Redecorating

Many of us just love to redecorate. Why do so many of us want to change the look of our homes?
(I can't wait to see what the outside of my house looks like once the new paint is on the shutters and front door!)

In reality, a fresh coat of paint or a new cover for the couch only changes the outward appearance of the old. God, on the other hand, gives us the opportunity to be totally "redecorated"! More over, the new life He offers, occurs within...old self is completely removed and replaced with a new life in Christ! The only way to fresh, new life is through Jesus. "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

After salvation, we have the opportunity to have our hearts "freshly painted" every single day through time spent with our God and His Word!

"Therefore do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day." 2 Cor 4:16

Our inward appearance is what we need to redecorate. Let's renew our hearts each day and grow in the Word of God so that His light will shine through to our outward appearance and bring hope of new life to all those around us!
