A clean heart, a clean house

Psalm 51:10, Create in me a clean heart, O God.
For me, Psalm 51 is a good verse to ponder while doing housework. Housework is a constant around here, with a baby, toddler and husband to clean up after. In a similar way, our heavenly Father is constantly at work to purify the unclean hearts of His children in the messes we constantly make by our sin.

Psalm 51:12: Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
God, in His all sufficient grace and mercy, puts our hearts back in proper order. Let us take time to ponder these truths as we mop the floors, fold the laundry, clean and put things as they should be for our families.

Here is my safe and cheap general cleanser recipe for us to use while we ponder:

Mix 1/2 c. vinegar, 1/4 c. baking soda, into 2 gallons of water.
I use 4 or 5 old plastic spray bottles and save the rest in a gallon milk jug.
(Run that through the dishwasher first. Then when you run out, you have a refill on hand.)
