Giving your best

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. (James 1:17)

I love giving gifts! We try to stick to a really tight budget; but, with a little creativity, gift giving is still possible. What a joy to find something to give a loved one that I know they will really enjoy. For me, wrapping the gift is just as much fun as giving the gift itself.

I love putting thought into the gift presentation. The gift should say, "I love you and I took the time to make this really pretty for you." The more creativity, the better!

This baby shower gift cost me less than $1.00 for all the trimmings! The little sewing notions and (unused!!) bakery boxes are from garage sales. Some time ago, I purchased the ribbon while it was on sale at Hobby Lobby. (Pick things up when they are reasonably priced, then you always have something on hand, and never have to grab a $4.00 gift bag on the way to the party.)

The entire project took about 5 minutes; not much longer than stuffing everything into a gift bag. I am so eager to see her face when I give this specially wrapped gift to her! I know she will love it!

God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7)! It's not just what you give, but also the attitude and love with which you give it.
